Edmonton Meals on Wheels

Since 1969, Edmonton Meals on Wheels has been providing home delivered, hot meal service for seniors and housebound individuals who cannot prepare or cook their own meals. While Meals on Wheels also provides frozen meals, a grocery delivery service, personal shopping, nutrition workshops and lunchtime catering, our hot meal program remains the most significant service required by our clients.

Seventy four percent of the people we serve live alone, 79% are over 70 years of age. Often our Meals on Wheels volunteer is the only contact our client has with the outside world. It is Meals on Wheels that is making it possible for them to live independently in their own homes.
